ESTHERVILLE-Class 2A top-ranked Western Christian held an 11-7 lead after the first quarter, but the Wolfpack stormed Estherville-Lincoln Central the rest of the game in a 70-38 Lakes Conference boys’ basketball victory Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Centennial Park funds grow substantially
Three substantial donations have been given to assist with the Boyden Centennial Park Revitalization Project. Citizens State Bank, Demco Charitable Foundation and Boyden Community Foundation assisted with the growth by giving $30,000 each toward the project.

Boyden-Hull held a 20-19 lead after the first eight minutes of action and held a 39-33 lead at halftime. Coach Bill Francis said his team’s inability to close out on the Hawks’ shooters allowed Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn to stay in the game.
