Dennis R. Egdorf, 79, of rural Boyden, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa.
Funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Boyden, with interment in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hull.
Dennis Ray Egdorf was born Oct. 27, 1940, near Boyden, son of Ernest and Edna (Bohlen) Egdorf. He attended school in Boyden.
On June 4, 1963, he married Henrietta Van Beek. The couple farmed north of Boyden. After retirement, they remained on the family farm.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Angela Knutson of Spencer, Iowa, Delwyn Egdorf of Hull and Lonnie (Leah) Egdorf of George, Iowa; six grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Tylene) Egdorf and Arlan (Linda) Egdorf; six sisters, June Van Dyk, Janice Kuiper, Carol (Bill) Ferguson, Arlene (LeRoy) Woelber, Kathleen (Lawrence) Sohl and Candice Gross; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Egdorf, also many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Eugene Egdorf, and three brothers-in-law, Dan Van Dyk, John Kuiper and Jim Gross.
