BOYDEN-Class 3A third-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley got a good showing from its bats, and pitcher, Kaitlyn Van Der Zwaag, continued to hurl like an ace, resulting in a 10-0 Siouxland Conference softball victory in five innings over West Lyon Tuesday, May 30.
BOYDEN-Western Christian made it a game for a majority of the contest against Class 3A second-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, but the Nighthawks took advantage of the opportunities given them and came away with an 8-0 non-conference softball victory Thursday, June 1.
HULL-Trinity Christian has been the “home” team on softball fields, but not technically because the Tigers had no diamonds of their own and always had to play on the ball fields of other schools.
