A lot of people think lifeguarding is an easy job, a fun way to hang out at the pool all summer, get a good tan and watch people swim. But there’s more to it than that! Being a front-line responder is challenging because lifeguards are responsible for other people’s safety.

WESTWOOD-Trinity Christian had some troubles on defense in game one that cost them six early runs. The Tigers cleaned up the defense in game two, but fell three runs short and ended the weekend with two defeats at the Westwood softball tournament Saturday, June 25.
The Hull Chamber of Commerce is honoring the recipients of the Outstanding Citizens Awards in lieu of a parade marshal this year. Many of these people will be recognized while riding on the Hull Float through the parade.
