Jane Krommendyk, 70, of Orange City, Iowa, died July 10, 2017, at Orange City Area Health System.

Memorial service was Thursday, July 13, at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Orange City, with interment in West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City.

Elma Jane Den Hartog was born March 2, 1947, in Orange City, the daughter of Clarence and Jeanette (De Jager) Den Hartog. She grew up in Orange City, where she attended Christian School. She graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull and Le Mars Beauty School.

On Oct. 3, 1966, she married Fred Krommendyk. They made their home in several communities until 1971, when they settled in Orange City. She was a beautician at Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City, a cook at Orange City Christian School and a sales clerk at Dutch Mill Pharmacy in Orange City.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Michael (Lisa) Krommendyk and Robert (Diane) Krommendyk, all of Orange City, and Patrick (Julie) Krommendyk of Hamburg, Minnesota; a daughter, Shannon Krommendyk of Orange City; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Sherry) Den Hartog, of Orange City; four sisters, Marcia (Terry) Arends, Becky (Curt) Vogel, Donna Den Hartog and Shirley (Daryl) Beltman, all of Orange City; two brothers-in-law, Bernard (Luella) Krommendyk of Hull and Berwyn (Hilda) Krommendyk of Beresford, South Dakota; sisters-in-law, Harriet Sikma and Sophie Krommendyk, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Krommendyk, and two brothers-in-law, Williard Krommendyk and Roger Sikma.
