Vera Juanita Petrich, 86, of Archer, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020.
Services were Wednesday, Jan.22, at Archer Reformed Church with interment in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Sheldon, Iowa.
Vera Juanita Cleveringa was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Sheldon, daughter of Howard and Naomi (Saupe) Cleveringa. She grew up near Archer and graduated from Archer High School in 1951. She attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, then worked as a bookkeeper with Archer Cooperative from 1952-1955.
On Dec. 4, 1954, she married Norman Petrich. They farmed and she resumed her bookkeeping duties at the cooperative in Archer from 1968 until retiring in 1995. Her husband passed away in 1985.
Survivors include her son, Mark Petrich of Boyden, Iowa; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Ann Van Donslear, Colleen (Stan) Lemkuil, Marge Cleveringa and Carol (Dudley) McDowell; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughters, Linda Ensz and Emily Knight; her parents; parents-in-law, William and Emma Petrich, and brother-in-law, Norman Van Donslear.
