    ORANGE CITY-Sioux Center played a near-flawless game against Western Christian. The Wolfpack simply had no answer to stop it and their season came to an end in a 10-5 Class 1A sub-state soccer playoff game Saturday, May 27.

    HULL-The Western Christian girls’ soccer team had a slow start to its game against West Sioux in Class 1A Region 3 soccer Tuesday, May 30, but the Wolfpack picked up the pace in the second half and advanced to play MOC-Floyd Valley in the semi-finals.

    BOYDEN-Class 3A third-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley got a good showing from its bats, and pitcher, Kaitlyn Van Der Zwaag, continued to hurl like an ace, resulting in a 10-0 Siouxland Conference softball victory in five innings over West Lyon Tuesday, May 30.

    BOYDEN-Western Christian made it a game for a majority of the contest against Class 3A second-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, but the Nighthawks took advantage of the opportunities given them and came away with an 8-0 non-conference softball victory Thursday, June 1.
