LARCHWOOD-Unlike its first game of the season against Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley, Western Christian came out strong with the bats in the first three innings, but they quickly went silent, allowing West Lyon to make a comeback in a 9-8 nonconference softball defeat Thursday.

Rolling Hills Golf Course of Hull has a new clubhouse manager. David Den Herder was recently hired to fill the open position. Den Herder graduated from Dordt College this spring with a major in physical education and a minor in special education and health.
