Wanda Arenz, 80, of Cass Lake, Minnesota, died Jan. 6, 2020, at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
Wanda Faber was born April 19, 1939, in Hull, Iowa, to Anna and Auke Faber. She attended Hull Christian Grammar School and Western Christian High School. After graduating from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she enrolled in the Peace Corps and served in the Philippines.
While teaching at an American military base in Hanau, Germany, she met John Arenz. They married and had two sons while teaching at Edzell Army Base in Scotland. They later moved to Cass Lake where she taught adult education.
Survivors include her husband; two children, Devin (Jess) Arenz and Brett (Kate) Arenz; one stepson, John (Deb) Arenz; one grandson; her siblings, August (Anne) Faber of Jenison, Michigan, and Robert (Clarice) Faber of Parnell, Iowa; her sister-in-law, Hendrine Faber of Rock Valley, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Allen Faber.
