BOYDEN-Class 3A third-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley got a good showing from its bats, and pitcher, Kaitlyn Van Der Zwaag, continued to hurl like an ace, resulting in a 10-0 Siouxland Conference softball victory in five innings over West Lyon Tuesday, May 30.

HULL-Trinity Christian has been the “home” team on softball fields, but not technically because the Tigers had no diamonds of their own and always had to play on the ball fields of other schools.

HULL-The Western Christian softball team played Cherokee last Wednesday, May 31, but the Wolfpack did not have much luck as they were defeated 6-0 in Lakes Conference softball.

HARRIS-The Trinity Christian baseball team played its second game of the season Friday, May 26. The Tigers were defeated by Harris-Lake Park 13-2 in Harris.

MARSHALLTOWN-After coming up a few strokes short of a state berth the past three seasons, the Boyden-Hull boys’ golf team finally found itself on the state stage for the first time in school history Friday, May 26, and Saturday, May 27, at American Legion Memorial Golf Course in Marshalltown.
