Visscher to begin his college golf career

PELLA-Former Boyden-Hull standout golfer, Eric Visscher, is set to begin his college golf career at Central College in Pella.

Visscher finished his final season as a Comet in 2016 with first-team All-Siouxland Conference honors after earning a nine-hole average of 41.64 with 39 as his lowest nine-hole round.

Visscher joins a Central College team that is run under first-year coach, Jon Olson, and is headlined by Nash Bucher of Huxley-Ballard High School. Bucher was last season’s Most Valuable Freshman for Central College and is the team’s top returner in average with 78.4 strokes per nine holes.

As a team, Central College finished fourth out of eight teams at the Iowa Conference Championships. The season kicks off with the first competition taking place at the Williams Woods Spring Invitational in Fulton, Missouri, March 26-28.
