Tigers end regular season at conference tournament

SIOUX CENTER-It was the final meet of the 2017 regular season for the Trinity Christian boys’ golf team at a War Eagle Conference tournament at The Ridge Golf Club in Sioux Center Monday, May 8 and the Tigers finished 10th out of 11 complete teams.

Trinity Christian shot a 420 as Unity Christian won the tournament title with a 331. Andrew DeBoer led the Tigers individually with a 94 with Logan Cleveringa shooting a 98.

“Windy day, but I thought the boys played very well. They improved throughout the season and it was because of the hard work they put in throughout the season,” said Trinity Christian coach Jordan DeBoer.

    LEMARS-Trinity Christian was able to play with Class 1A fifth-ranked LeMars Gehlen Catholic for the first half of each game, but the Tigers could not prevent the game-deciding runs the Jays made in each set and were swept 25-13, 25-17, 25-15 in War Eagle Conference volleyball Tuesday, Sept. 5.
