Koralee Heynen chooses Northwestern

Trinity Christian softball pitcher Koralee Heynen has signed a letter of intent to continue her softball career at Northwestern College in Orange City next fall.

Heynen is currently in her senior season as the starting pitcher for the Tigers. Prior to the game with Unity Christian Wednesday, May 30, she had posted a 2.33 ERA, has 19 strikeouts and an opponent’s batting average against of .183 in 18 innings pitched. Last season, Heynen earned all-state and all-conference honors. As a sophomore and a freshman, Heynen also earned all-conference honors. Heynen plans to major in accounting and is the daughter of Veryl and Kandace Heynen of Hull.
