Four Trinity Christian baseball players were selected to the War Eagle All-Conference baseball team as released by the conference and its coaches Monday, July 23.
Earning first-team honors were Dawson Vis and Logan Cleveringa. Vis was the top hitter for the Tigers this past season with a .391 batting average, a .696 slugging percentage, four home runs, one triple, seven doubles, 22 runs and 36 RBIs. Cleveringa was a .353 hitter with a .426 slugging percentage, five doubles, 25 runs, and 14 RBIs.
Earning second-team honors was Andrew De Boer. He was a .278 hitter with a .333 slugging percentage, two doubles, 12 runs and eight RBIs. As Trinity Christian’s ace pitcher, De Boer threw 48-2/3 innings with a 1.87 ERA, a 5-3 record, a .249 opponents’ batting average against with 43 strikeouts compared to 10 walks.
Honorable mention went to Ethan Van Bemmel. He was a .375 hitter for the Tigers with a .479 slugging percentage, one home run, two doubles, 16 runs and 11 RBIs.
