All-Conference wrestling

Two Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley grapplers were picked for the All-Siouxland Conference wrestling team as voted on by conference coaches Monday, Feb. 27.

Earning first-team honors was Austin Rozeboom at 138 pounds. Rozeboom finished the Siouxland Conference campaign with a 28-1 record and held a 36-3 overall record heading into the state tournament in Des Moines where he placed seventh overall.

Earning an at-large bid on the second team was Austin Roemeling. Roemeling finished the 2016-2017 Siouxland Conference season with a 16-9 record and a 17-10 overall mark. Roemeling ended his year at the Class 2A District 14 tournament in Spencer with a third-place finish at 145 pounds.

    LEMARS-Trinity Christian was able to play with Class 1A fifth-ranked LeMars Gehlen Catholic for the first half of each game, but the Tigers could not prevent the game-deciding runs the Jays made in each set and were swept 25-13, 25-17, 25-15 in War Eagle Conference volleyball Tuesday, Sept. 5.
